Regulator cannot stop boxing association booking unlicensed medical care provider

The Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA) hired an unlicensed pre-hospital care provider to cover a major boxing event that took place in Dublin in February.

The news comes after an inquest into the death of mixed martial arts fighter João Carvalho exposed the weak legislation governing pre-hospital emergency care.
