The head of one of the country’s six hospital groups is tipped to take the top job at the private Bon Secours hospital group.
Bill Maher was appointed group chief executive of the Dublin North-East hospital group last year.
Maher’s departure would be a blow to the HSE, which has seen an exodus of senior staff and struggled to recruit top candidates.
