The breakdown of family relationships is the leading cause of homelessness, according to new research

Family breakdown has emerged as the biggest single reason for people going into emergency homeless accommodation.

There are currently 760 families, including 1,600 children, being put up in hotels and B&Bs in Dublin due to the lack of supply in the private rental sector.
