Doctor rejected top job in row over financial governance

National Association of General Practionioners says all concerns have been fully addressed

The doctor who was due to be crowned president of the National Association of General Practitioners at its agm this weekend has said she stood aside because of concerns about the organisation’s finances.

Dr Yvonne Williams said she had raised concerns relating to the organisation’s finances, as well as its links with other companies.

“I was unable to get answers to the questions I had,” she told The Sunday Business Post.
