Preparing for the worst when the cybercriminals strike

A potential large-scale data breach has highlighted the threat to Irish businesses. But some organisations are still failing to be GDPR compliant, writes Jason Walsh

People are now aware of the risk of attack and the damage that can be done by cybercriminals

If anyone in business today was to claim they are unaware of the threat posed to their business by cybercriminals then the kindest word that could be used to describe them is delusional.

Both accidental breaches and malicious attacks continue to hit hard and fast, and not a month goes by without some major multinational admitting its customers’ data, sometimes including sensitive personal information, has been leaked.
