Why it’s in the news: The company swept the boards at the 2023 CCMA Awards

“It is a celebration of our investment in our people, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and skills to excel in this dynamic industry,” said chief executive Gerard Teahon.

The spotlight shone on Elizabeth Brown, Uniquely’s head of customer engagement centres, who was honoured as the Industry Manager of the Year.

“Her exceptional leadership and dedication was instrumental in steering Uniquely towards success and the award is a well-deserved recognition of her remarkable commitment and expertise,” said Teahon.

Uniquely earned the highly commended distinction for the Outsource Partnership of the Year award in collaboration with Bord Gáis Energy. “This recognition extends far beyond a typical partnership. It celebrates a deep-rooted collaboration built on trust, mutual success and a shared pursuit of excellence. It is testament to the remarkable synergy between Uniquely and Bord Gáis Energy and it highlights dedication to achieving continued success together,” Teahon said.

Uniquely’s impressive showing at the CCMA Awards didn't stop there. It also secured shortlist nominations in several other categories, including Industry Professional of the Year, Customer Service Agent and Industry Professional of the Year: Team Leader. “The nominations showcase our commitment to recognising and honouring the outstanding individuals within our team who contribute to our success,” said the chief executive.

Uniquely’s Pinergy team was feted for delivering the best customer experience. The achievement underscores the company’s resolve to providing exceptional service and ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable interaction, according to Teahon.

In the category of Customer/Shared Services of the Year, Uniquely’s customer engagement centres were shortlisted, highlighting the exceptional work carried out by its teams in delivering top-notch service.

The company’s achievements at the CCMA Awards reflect its ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences, according to Teahon. The success not only acknowledged the company’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering growth but also the leadership and collaboration within the organisation, he said.

As Uniquely – a Deloitte Best Managed Company (Platinum partner) – continues to blaze a trail in the customer engagement and satisfaction industry, its impressive showing at the CCMA Awards adds to a string of other victories, attracting talent as it recruits for roles across the board.

“The CCMA Awards provide recognition in what is a highly competitive industry in this country, the equivalent of the All-Ireland football and hurling finals in Croke Park,” Teahon said.
