Weston Airport owner seeking permission to increase traffic of executive jets

Galway-based builder Conneely writes to An Bord Pleanála saying he thinks 200 jobs can be created if services are ramped up

The owner of Weston Airport, Galway builder Brian Conneely, believes 200 jobs could be created there through developments such as a ramping up of its executive jet services.

In a filing to An Bord Pleanála, Conneely wrote that he had been approached by “several executive jet operators”, including Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Netjets, which had “expressed a strong interest in using Weston Airport as an alternative to Dublin Airport”.
