UTV Ireland lay-offs 'unavoidable', says TV3
Shake-up as deal first revealed by Sunday Business Post is completed
Commercial broadcaster TV3 has announced details of a restructuring programme following the completion ofits deal to acquire UTV Ireland.
UTV Ireland, which currently employs 61 people in Macken House in Dublin, will move to TV3 headquarters in Ballymount.
TV3, which is owned by Virgin Media, said it hoped many of its current 40 job vacancies would be filled by current UTV Ireland staff, but added that the changes may result in “unavoidable redundancies” ...
