New digital Vat scheme nets Revenue €120m

The Revenue Commissioner released their annual report

The taxman gained almost €120 million last year from a shake-up of European Vat laws on services including music downloads, ebooks and TV subscriptions.

According to the Revenue Commissioner’s annual report, published last week, the state collected €118 million from the so-called Vat Mini One Stop Shop, or MOSS scheme, that was launched at the beginning of 2015.
