Gym chain owned by rugby star’s father trims losses to €16.5 million

A gym run by Dirk van der Flier, the father of Ireland rugby star Josh van der Flier, trimmed back its losses slightly, from €17.1 million to €16.5 million in 2018, accounts show.

This left Prime Fitness, the company behind the Gym Plus chain of gyms in Dublin, with a shareholders’ deficit of €780,613, down from €1.2 million the year before.
