Corporate watchdog seeks to appoint inspectors to probe INM

Application will be made on 16 April, according to the company

The state’s corporate watchdog is to seek the appointment of High Court inspectors to investigate the affairs of Independent News & Media, the quoted newspaper publisher.

The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) notified the company on Friday that it intends to make the application on April 16. The move comes following a probe into the company following a protected disclosure by its former chief executive Robert Pitt last year.
