British investment fund wants to back 20,000 social homes in Dublin

A British investment fund has said it will financially back former Staunton’s on the Green owner Jim Staunton, who is in talks with Dublin City Council about building 20,000 social housing units in the city.

Bluecastle Partners, a London-based investment fund, has teamed up with a company founded by Staunton, to propose a public-private partnership that aims to “address outstanding issues regarding social and affordable housing” in the city.
