University of Limerick says performance at Dáil committee ‘reflected poorly’ on college

It follows a belligerent discussion over an €8m site purchase by the university

The University of Limerick (UL) has said the manner a delegation of the college’s representatives dealt with questioning from an Oireachtas committee over the purchase of €8.3 million site without a formal valuation “reflected poorly on the University”.

It has committed to the establishment of a “strategic governance committee” to look into the handling of the purchase.
