Louise McSharry spent 19 years working in radio before starting her podcast, Catch Up with Louise McSharry. She is also a beauty and opinion columnist who contributed to many newspapers and magazines over the last 15 years. Her book, Fat Chance was published by Penguin in 2016.

What was your earliest ambition?

I always dreamed big, and wanted to be an actor but also a politician and possibly a lawyer. The real dream was to be in musicals in the West End though. My mother took me to see one (Starlight Express) when I was seven and when I say I loved it, I loved it.
