Sky hoping its sponsorship of women’s team will yield results on and off the pitch

When the opportunity for Sky to sponsor the Ireland women’s national team first came across Orlaith Ryan’s desk in 2021, she knew that it was a “no-brainer”.

Ryan, Sky Ireland’s chief commercial officer, said that the opportunity to become the team’s first standalone sponsor the week after the FAI announced equal pay with the men’s team was too good to pass up.
