Revealed: Hospitality firms among worst affected as insurance costs continue to soar

The cost of insurance has continued to climb over recent years despite a spate of government reforms aimed at making cover cheaper for businesses.

Business insurance premiums rose by 8 per cent in 2022 with several sectors recording significantly higher increases in the cost of their employers liability, public liability and commercial property package cover, according to a new Central Bank of Ireland report.
