Final discussions between Paschal Donohoe and a number of government ministers are to get underway on Wednesday in order to reach agreement on funding for projects under the National Development Plan (NDP).

The public expenditure minister has been locked in negotiations with various departments for weeks over the allocation of funding for the next phase of the NDP with spending being allocated for 2025 and 2026.

“We have reached settlements now with quite a wide variety of government departments after many weeks of intense engagement,” Donohoe told the Business Post.
