Lobby group warns petrol price increases will ‘fuel inflation’ ahead of overnight hikes

Price of petrol and diesel will increase by 4 cent and 3 cent from Monday as the government moves to restore fuel excise duty

Motorists will be hit with increased prices at the pumps as the cost of fuel is set to rise overnight.

From Monday, the price of a litre of petrol and diesel will increase by 4 cent and 3 cent respectively, while 1.5 cent will be added to each litre of green diesel for agricultural uses.
