Lack of commercial security clearance is ‘impeding’ the economy, warns Isme

There is no permanent security clearance system in place for companies because the country does not have a standalone national intelligence agency.

The lack of a proper security clearance system for Irish companies is ”impeding the country’s industrial development,“ the Irish Small and Medium Enterprises (Isme) group has warned.

In its pre-budget submission, Isme told the government that the establishment of a properly constituted security clearance regime was “urgently necessary.”
