The explosion of illegal streaming of sports will harm the operations of organisations such as the League of Ireland and the GAA if no action is taken, a sports marketing expert has warned.

Rob Hartnett, chief executive of Sport for Business, has called for the League of Ireland and the GAA to act against the pirating of their streaming services, LOITV and GAAGO, in order to protect and maximise the organisations’ funding.
