French energy company EDF signs deal to develop two offshore wind farms in Ireland

The deal with Simply Blue Group will see EDF Renewables managing two large floating offshore wind projects off the coasts of Clare and Cork respectively

EDF Renewables, the French energy giant, has signed a deal to develop two floating offshore wind farms off the south and west coasts of Ireland.

The company announced on Wednesday that it had struck a deal with Simply Blue Group, the Cork-based floating offshore wind company, to jointly develop two projects the Irish firm has in its development pipeline.
