Energy bills are a main cost pressure for 98 per cent of businesses, according to a new report from Ibec.

The study named inflation, a problem for 80 per cent of businesses, and labour costs, an issue for 77 per cent of firms, as the next biggest cost pressures.

It found that staff working in the “experience economy” make up almost 9 per cent of the total workforce, or 230,000 people. The report said ...
