Dublin ranked just behind London as second-most congested city in Europe

Research shows drivers are spending half an hour to drive 10km as the government delays a plan aimed at reducing the number of cars on roads

Dublin is Europe’s second-most congested city for traffic, finishing behind only London for the length of time it takes motorists to drive 10 kilometres.

Research published by TomTom, the location technology company known for developing the SatNav, has found that it takes an average of 28 minutes and 30 seconds to drive 10 kilometres in Ireland’s capital city. It also shows that Dublin drivers’ average speed during rush hour is just 17 kilometres per hour.
