Rape crisis centres have welcomed the review of structures and educational programmes by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and Ulster Rugby following the sporting organisations’ decision to revoke the contracts of Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding.
Noeline Blackwell, chief executive of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, said that rugby organisations needed to stamp out any tolerance of inappropriate sexual behaviour and that other sporting organisations needed to follow suit.
