It’s been a week of bad news for Irish consumers, as a raft of the country’s largest energy utilities announced they were introducing double-digit price increases for electricity and gas this winter.
Electric Ireland, SSE Airtricity, Bord Gáis Energy and PrePay Power all announced price increases of between 30 and 40 per cent.
