Sailing contest now open to multi-hulled boats
A new sponsorship deal has put the wind behind the sails of the Round Ireland Yacht Race, which Wicklow Chamber of Commerce estimates will generate over €1 million for its local economy.
The biennial race, which has been running for 36 years and hopes to feature 50 yachts this year, is expected to double the population of Wicklow town for a weekend in June.
