Gary McGann, one of Ireland’s most prominent corporate leaders, has said that the solution to the ongoing Luas strike is to replace drivers with driverless trams.

McGann, the former chief executive of the paper and packaging giant Smurfit Kappa and the current chairman of Paddy Power Betfair, also criticised the newly appointed transport minister Shane Ross for not intervening more actively in the Luas industrial relations dispute.
