Tourism body wants its marketing budget restored

Eoghan O’Mara Walsh, chief executive of the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC) chief executive, said the 40 per cent drop in Tourism Ireland’s marketing budget over the past 7 years needs to be reversed.

It comes as the ITIC released figures that revealed that the Irish tourism industry is now worth €7.3 billion to the economy and will create an extra 6,800 jobs in 2016.
