Comment: Ireland's tax regime not only for multi-nationals

There are a number of schemes start-up founders should be aware of, writes Leanna Byrne

Since everyone else is talking about tax this week, I’m going to do the same. The European Commission on Tuesday ordered Ireland to recoup €13 billion of unpaid taxes from Apple, from 2003 to 2014. It’s caused a stir with a lot of technology companies, a lot of whom that I spoke to are siding with Apple.

Big multinationals aren’t the only companies that can benefit from Ireland’s tax regime. There aremany schemes and grants that start-ups can avail of the help them with three of their main challenges: raising capital, rewarding their team and rewarding success.
