Census 2016 recruitment affects earnings figures
Average earnings fell slightly in first quarter of 2016
Official figures show that
average weekly earnings fell slightly in the first three months of this year, but were still 1.1 per cent ahead of the same period last year. The figures were affected by the recruitment of temporary staff for Census 2016.
