Exam standards dominate Shakespeare searches

The old reliables of the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert curriculums dominated Irish searches related to the works of William Shakespeare over the past year, according to Google.

MacBeth was the most searched Shakespeare play, followed by Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Hamlet and The Merchant of Venice. MacBeth is on the curriculum for the 2019 Leaving Cert while King Lear is on this summer’s edition and Hamlet was on last summer’s exam. ...
