Varadkar: Despite major job cuts, big tech companies are not leaving Ireland

Twitter and Stripe have recently announced mass layoffs, with fears Meta will be next

Leo Varadkar has said no large tech companies have indicated they are closing their Irish base amid a slowdown globally in the sector.

The Tánaiste also said there is a “strong pipeline” of new investments from overseas, and the government expects “many positive announcements in the coming months”.
