Stripe now processing $1trn in payments, Patrick Collison reveals

The payment giant’s valuation rebounded to $65 billion on the back of share deal

Stripe is “doomed to eventually grow at the rate of the economy” but it could be many decades before this happens, the company’s co-founder and chief executive Patrick Collison has said.

In conversation with Dwarkesh Patel, a podcaster, Collison said Stripe is currently processing approximately $1 trillion a year in payments for its customers, which includes Amazon Google, Ford, Shopify and Instacart.
