Select Tech looks to lure consumers in-store for the ultimate experience

Retailers have been under the cosh for several years, with the High Street having been declared dead on numerous occasions. Even before the pandemic struck, retail chains were experiencing difficulties with rents becoming increasingly unsustainable, and footfall declining. The situation has arguably worsened since then with many of those consumers who flocked online during lockdown in no rush to return.

One man who certainly sees life in bricks and mortar however is Ciaran McCormack, managing director of Select Tech, which recently acquired the DID Electrical chain. A former professional children’s magician who once performed under the name Peter Presto, McCormack is used to pulling off an impressive sleight of hand. but can he perform the ultimate trick of rescuing retail?
