State-backed hackers from Russia and China, along with organised crime gangs, have exploited the way we work in the pandemic in recent months to launch significant cyber attacks.

Security experts, including those in one of the companies directly affected, warned this would happen from the outset, yet still the world is reeling from two of the largest attacks ever recorded.
