MiddleGame announces €40 million fintech seed fund

The investment firm, which has backed a number of promising Irish start-ups, aims to help early-stage founders ‘emerge from the initial ideation phase’

MiddleGame Ventures, which has backed a number of promising Irish start-ups, has announced a new €40 million fintech-focused seed fund backed by Enterprise Ireland.

MGV Seed Fund 1 intends to invest between €200,000 and €1 million in early-stage founders, and is targeting 15 to 25 initial investments. MiddleGame, which was an early backer of Wayflyer, the Irish tech unicorn, said it expects to make four to five Irish seed investments annually via the fund.
