Mastercard Ireland reports jump in revenues and profits

The payments company’s branch in Ireland, which is responsible for most of the company’s research and development work, aims to grow its workforce to 2,000 by end of 2025

The Irish arm of Mastercard, the world's second largest payments company, reported a surge in pre-tax profits last year as revenues also rose.

Mastercard Ireland Limited, which is responsible for the majority of the group's research and development activities, recorded a profit before tax of €38.6 million for 2021, as against €8.9 million a year earlier.
