Ireland lags in number of women-led scale-ups

New report shows there are currently over 600 scale-ups founded or co-founded by women across 15 European countries

Ireland has the joint lowest number of women-founded scale-up businesses out of 15 European countries, according to a new report from Dealroom and EIT.

Their research shows women-founded scale-ups in Europe have grown in value faster than other companies since 2017.

The study indicates there are currently over 600 scale-ups founded or co-founded by women across 15 countries surveyed, with their combined value totalling €70 billion. This marks a growth rate of 6.5 x in ...
