Dunnes aims to grow Buymie’s activities after takeover

Supermarket ecommerce platform is to remain a standalone entity and retain its chief executive

Buymie, the same-day delivery company that is to be acquired by Dunnes Stores, is expected to continue as a standalone entity with chief executive Devan Hughes still running the business, the Business Post has learned.

While Dunnes has declined to say if it will safeguard jobs, it is understood that the retailer sees growth opportunities for the company, especially in Britain. Buymie currently employs around 50 people working in tech roles and also has over ...
