Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini Payments launches platform in Ireland

Exchange founded by the Winklevoss brothers, secured an e-money license earlier this year from the Central Bank of Ireland, and is registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP)

Gemini Payments, the popular cryptocurrency exchange established by the Winklevoss brothers, has launched its cryptocurrency exchange and custody services in Ireland.

The move, which comes three months after Gemini become the first company to be registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) by the Central Bank of Ireland, allows both individuals and businesses to buy more than 100 cryptocurrencies, including bitcion, ether and DeFi tokens.
