Akkure raises €1.7m ahead of opening first office in US

Medtech firm which developed artificial intelligence software to match patients with clinical trials raises amount between grants and crowdfunding

Akkure, a Dublin-based medtech, has raised €1.7 million between grants and crowdfunding in its latest funding round. The raise comes ahead of the business opening its first US office next year.

The business, co-founded by Oran Rigby and Amy Hollingsworth, previously raised €1.18 million in a campaign through Spark Crowdfunding last year, and it is using the platform again to aid in its growth.
