Pre-Christmas auctions offer rich pickings from two great houses recently sold, and a treasury of rare books and other collector items
Durrow based auctioneers Sheppard’s is hosting a three-day auction titled Dublin and Provincial starting on December 5.
The sale of 1,231 lots includes contents from two recently sold period properties Drumleck House in Howth, Co Dublin – once home of noted collectors John and Gertrude Hunt – and more recently Fergal and Rachael Naughton’s Ardsallagh House in Fethard, Co Tipperary.
