Second-hand houses fetched well above asking price in 2022

Post-pandemic, the new home development pipeline was back in full swing in Dublin while sales of good quality properties in good condition achieved top prices

Prices remained strong in the second-hand market for the latter part of the year

The year 2022 began as busy as it ended in 2021. Residential second hand houses sold well above their asking prices with demand very much outstripping supply.

The market was buoyant in new homes and again there was an obvious confidence from all stakeholders. The pandemic moved into the background and there was a sense that the world had moved. While Covid-19 had not disappeared we were in a position to live with it.
