Set along the banks of the Royal Canal in Ballykelly in Monasterevin, Co Kildare, sits a most enticing edifice, its stone, steel and concrete exterior nestled in among lushly planted sloping pathways and surrounded by fields of barley and long grass swaying in the breeze.
