The Irish government’s Housing for All strategy is starting to make a significant difference across a number of areas of the housing sector and different avenues for delivery identified are increasing supply.

More than 40,000 first time buyers have secured their first home as a result of the Help-to-Buy initiative since its introduction in 2016; and the 16-month-old First Home (shared equity) Scheme has seen its 1,000th facility drawdown last month.
