The term ‘Crampton-built refers to both commercial and residential buildings constructed by the Dublin building firm G&T Crampton. The business was founded in 1879 by George J Crampton, who formed a partnership with nephew Tom Crampton in 1905, and for almost 140 years remained under family ownership. It went into liquidation in 2022.
