O’Reilly’s presents its eighth sale of the year, an impressive 571-lot auction of jewellery, watches, silver, objets d’art, coins and banknotes. Overall, it is dazzling.
Striking is the number of bracelets on offer. The term ‘bracelet’ is derived from the Greek ‘brachile’ meaning of the arm and over millennia has stayed true to its form, made from a wide variety of materials from leather, bone and shells to precious metals and gemstones.
