Some of you are likely to remember the MG cars of yesteryear, exemplified by the MGB of the 1960s: sports cars that were relatively affordable and thoroughly British.

Well, hold that thought, as the brand has been under Chinese ownership since 2007 and only returned to the Irish market a few years ago. What’s more, there’s no sign yet of anything sporty from the company, as it moves with the times and focuses on electrification.
