Fun and games as Glitterbug focuses on the pub and restaurant experience
The mobile app developer works with hospitality clients to improve the engagement of customers, using gaming and AR technology
Founded in 2016 by Laura Cavanagh and Colin Vaughan, Glitterbug is an app development business that largely targets the restaurant and pub sector.
The firm develops its own apps, including one for weddings called Be Our Guest, as well as white-labelled apps on a subscription basis for customers, and fully customised apps.
“We both wanted to go into business on our own. I’d been in the industry for 13 years before starting Glitterbug, and Colin had been into software for a long time as well. We decided on mobile apps because it was one of the few places where a small company could make products and release them,” Cavanagh told the Business Post.
