Warning of ‘mica-style’ protests if owners of defective homes don’t get 100% redress

As many as 100,000 properties have issues which need to be repaired

The government has been warned that it could face "mica-style" protests if it does not provide 100 per cent compensation for owners of homes with fire safety defects.

A recent government working group found that there could be between 62,000 and 100,000 homes built between 1991 and 2013 that had building defects that need to be repaired.
